We have been making a bunch of changes to the website, as we gear up for our Annual Picnic in August and then Temple Lunch, CDU2015, Lakshmi Puja and Sparsha following in quick succession. 

Indeed, this is the most busy part of the year for us and we are excited just thinking about all the activities that will be taking place between now and  the end of the year !!

The Durga Puja GBM was attended by many of us on 18th July. Thanks to everyone and a special welcome to all the new families who dropped in. 

Speaking of GBM, our pre-registration aka “early bird” rates for CDU 2015 have been published on our website. Yay !! We are working 24X7 .. well, quite a bit -  to get the Online Registration feature activated on the website for your convenience. We will post an update as soon as it is published. Members will also have a special Family Cap registration feature available in our Members Corner.

In the last post we talked about how quickly time flies and how fast the years seem to pass by .. school summer holidays are coming to an end and our high-school graduates will be leaving us for their colleges soon. We are also about 90 days away from our biggest event of the year - our annual Durga Puja in our own city !!

The kick-off meeting for this grand event aka the Durga Puja GBM will be held on July 18th at the Symmes Library Meeting Room between 1:30 pm & 3:30 pm. Be there to participate and contribute to the planning process. We are told that as additional attractions there will be surprise taa-s along with chaa at the meeting. So don't miss it.

If you have to miss it for unavoidable reasons, we have a new page on our website at Durga Puja Teams - where you can go over the various organizing teams and their functions. Should you be interested to actively participate in this event, do send over a mail to the respective team leads and let your intent be known.

Through this page, we will keep you updated as this year's plan unfold. Like every year we will have the Online Registration page created soon. And hopefully we will continue with our live transmission of the event like last year so that you can share your festivities with your friends and families across the world.

We are almost halfway through the school summer holidays. In a matter of 5-6 weeks, it will be back to school time for our kids. We will also be seeing off many of our college students as they leave for their campuses. Its hard to believe how time flies !! 

Our annual summer picnic is also around the corner on August 29th. This year it will be held at the Fox Shelter, Keehner Park. Not too far away like the past couple of years and so we are expecting a full-house. Please mark your calendars, if you haven't yet.

Our advance party of Nabarun and Prithviraj went down to the picnic site last week to check out the area, distance from the restrooms and the play areas, the size of the parking lot etc. Check out the snaps here.
